Additional information on Plan B Skateboards
The original team of Plan B, made up of well-picked professional boarders was founded in 1991 by Mike Ternasky who was killed in a car accident in 1994. As a result of this sad accident the team of innovative ideas - both in matters skateboarding and in videos - almost disintegrated. The property rights were handed over to Danny Way and Colin McKay which, however, did not prevent the company with its tragic association with "Plan-B" from virtually ceasing to exist, at least for about 10 years.
Syndrome Distribution provided the funding for Way and McKay -as co-owners of the team and professional skaters - to reanimate Plan B in 2005 along the former lines with a professional team of riders, for instance Paul Rodriguez Jr. from Girl, Ryan Gallant from Expedition-One, PJ Ladd from Flip Skateboards, Brian Wenning from Habitat. The team was later enhanced by Pat Duffy and Darrell Stanton. The first amateur in the team, J:J: Davey recently left to ride for Foundation. He was not the only one to leave, Stanton left for Element Skateboards in August 2006. According to a press release of Plan B on January 2, 2007, Ryan Sheckler was added to the team. Since then Jereme Rogers, July 25, 2007, Scott Decenzo as first amateur skater, February 4, 2008 have joined the team of Plan B which has also been named as one of the most popular brands by EA's "Skate", released for Xbox 360 in September 2007 and advertised in a demo featuring Paul Rodriguez and Ryan Gallant
